What is Clinical Supervision?

Clinical supervision is a structured professional relationship between a supervisor and supervisee, aimed at supporting the delivery of safe, ethical and effective client care. It offers:

  • A reflective and confidential space for growth and learning

  • Guidance on complex clinical decision-making

  • Support for navigating ethical and professional challenges

  • Opportunities to strengthen confidence, capability and resilience in practice.

Meet the Supervisor: Gerald Mutubuki

Gerald is a Credentialed Mental Health Nurse and experienced clinical supervisor with extensive experience across public and private mental health settings. He is passionate about empowering clinicians through supervision that fosters reflection, growth and confidence.

In addition to his clinical work, Gerald has held several leadership roles including:

  • Board Director - Sunraysia Community Health Services

  • Board Member - Office of the Public Advocate Victoria (Disability stream)

  • Junior Board Member - BPD Community

  • Team Leader - Hospital Outreach Post-suicidal Engagement program

These experiences have enriched his supervision practice with a deep understanding of governance, service delivery and staff wellbeing in mental health.

Gerald has worked across a wide range of mental health services including:

  • Youth, Adult and Aged community mental health

  • Acute and sub-acute inpatient units

  • Community outreach

  • Private practice and clinical supervision

  • Bachelor of Nursing - La Trobe University

  • Postgraduate Diploma in Psychiatric Nursing - The University of Melbourne

  • Master of Advanced Nursing Practice (MH) - The University of Melbourne

  • Clinical Supervision Training - The University of Melbourne

Supervision Approach

Gerald provides individual clinical supervisor via video/phone, offering a:

  • Strengths-based and person-centred approach

  • Supportive space for reflective practice

  • Focus on self-care and burnout prevention

  • Tailored experience for clinicians in both public and private settings

Session Details:

  • Session length: 60 minutes

  • Format: Phone or Video (Telehealth)

  • Fee: $130 per session

Cancellations

We kindly ask for at least 24 hours notice to cancel or reschedule an appointment. A $50 fee applies for late cancellations or missed appointments
